Pension rate Sick Pay

Hi,
I have received notice that my paid sick absence is about to end and I will move to nil pay shortly. I had hoped to return to work by now but am awaiting further tests and 'reasonable' adjustments agreed with my employer. It is all taking much longer than anticipated due to Covid.
Until this process is complete and to avoid nil pay, would I be eligible for Pension rate sick pay (I have over 20 years in the scheme) and if so how is it calculated and how long would this be payable for?
Thanks

Check with your employer - that's the only way to be sure.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

Thanks Marcon - but they have already advised it is 'at management's discretion'. So not a definitive answer unfortunately. I've since been told I can apply for both new-style ESA AND PIP if SPPR is refused and SSP has ended. I understand PIP is claimable regardless of SSP. Does anyone know if both can be claimed and if so do they go hand-in-hand in terms of eligibilty?Marcon said:Check with your employer - that's the only way to be sure.0
