Kronos - anyone familiar with it

Just a quick question. We have Kronos at work to manage holidays. The system has been updated whilst I've been off sick and I've had a reply to a holiday request that I've never seen before. It said ' your holiday request has changed status'. The dates it gives are slightly different (less) to the ones I asked for. Does anyone have any idea what it means? No holiday has been booked on the system so I'm guessing it's telling me what is available to book so I need to rebook the new dates???

Isn't that contradictory - or do you mean that you've never seen a reply like that before?

Can't you just ask your manager/HR/whoever runs this system?  Must be quicker - and more helpful - than asking here.

I'm not allowed to contact the clerk who books the holidays as she was feeling pressured to book holidays when phoned or emailed directly and it was banned. I've emailed my manager who doesn't know what it means nor does anyone else he spoke to. He and I work nights and holidays are booked through a days clerk so he's emailed her. No reply yet.
HR were moved off site a few years ago and take a week to reply to emails. The phone just rings if I call them. So I asked on here this morning just in case anyone knew. This afternoon I've tried to book the revised dates on the mysterious message. I'll wait and see what happens.
I've just read that the government has today revised the list of people who should shield to include those on immunosuppressive drugs. I'm taking two different ones, so I might not need the holiday anyway.  :*

  • I left my previous company not long after Kronos was introduced and all I can say is what a total load of c*ap it was, millions spent on something that was slow, cumbersome and unnecessarily over-complicated. I was at management level so had access to most functions within the system.

cant remember all of the situations and statuses but there were Kronos help guides available on the company intranet.

Your manager should be able to confirm what matters to you most a) how much holiday have you got left (compare against what you believe you have already booked) and b) what dates are available to book, anything outside of that is irrelevant surely?
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.
