IPA after payday?

Options
Do those who have IPAs know whether you get it set after payday i.e do you get a months notice first. My brother lent me some money to survive on after I paid the br fee and I'd like to pay him back

It was 5 months into my BR before my IPA was set up.. ( it doesn't get back dated either)
  • Thanks Morfx. I just need a couple of months to get back on my feet. I guess they only want 36 payments, whenever they get them I don't suppose matters

Gives them time to go through your accounts and see what you have left over and where you monies go.

The OR, Insolvency practitioner or the firm dealing with your IPA.. unsure who exactly, maybe someone that nbthe know can confirm this?  I know someone went back through my accounts as far back as two years..

Unlikely to happen, certainly from the OR side.  There just isn't the resource - instead the figures on your SOA are used.

Whilst they can ask your bank/you to provide statements, it used to take a long, long time and much chasing to get copies.  I suspect it hasn't  changed much in the 10+ years since I worked there.
  • That makes sense. I guess people spend different after bankruptcy anyway. I'm not self employed but I can give bank statements. Not that it shows much - alot of cash withdrawals. I will also be managing my money better after BR, actually saving money for dentist and prescription fees, instead of, not
