I really enjoyed Magpie Lane by Lucy Atkins. A good story and very well written. A degree of intrigue and a thought provoking set of characters.
I nearly finished Half a World Away by mike Gayle but it was too poignant for me and I really didn't want the inevitable to happen. I listened to it as an audiobook and it was read so beautifully. I liked the main characters very much. Feeling sad again just thinking about it which must mean it was a really good book. I've never watched the final episode of Inspector Morse for the same reason 🤷♀️2 -
VJsmum said:I didn't read tons of books last year as i was finishing my thesis but my favourite non-fiction was "Wham! George and Me" by Andrew Ridgely. Very very readable and great memories for an 80's teenager.
My favourite fiction was "Lethal White" by Robert Galbraith.
I'm trying to make up for it this year and have already read loads - my favourite being "The Thursday Murder Club" by Richard Osman.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £24,616.092 -

I really enjoyed reading The Salt Path and its sequel - I found them truly inspirational. I would also highly recommend One Woman Walks Wales by Ursula Martin.3
