I've been looking at domain names.
My question is if I wanted a domain name and the one with the plural was not registered, can I register it? I'm aware of trademarks, copyright, etc.

You can , but why would you ever want to of you cannot easily trade using it ( any kind of similarity In content or goods would cause issues )
For example , to me , www.natwestbanks.com would be a pointless purchase
