Too late to bake Chriatmas cake?

Hi
Is it too late to bake my Christmas cake?

Time has gone by so fast (again!) I have all the ingredients but I suppose I won't have much time to 'feed' it.

Help!

  • No its never too late! As long as you have brandy in it and you feed it a couple of times it will be fine. I have done mine as late as a week before and is still delicious (so they say!!)

    Happy Baking!

Soak the fruit overnight in brandy and sherry and that will give it a good start, when it comes out of the oven, pour more sherry or brandy over it. Haven't done mine yet, still has a little time to mature and you aren't going to eat it all on Christmas day so it will get better and better if stored well.

    Hi

I asked the same question a few days ago on here and had several replies from all the helpful people and the cake I made this week will be fine (I think!)
