Help please.
My D.H is a postie. He reaps the benefits of working outside in Spring,Summer and most Autumn. However come Winter once cold it’s difficult to warm up . Can anyone recommend a lightweight heated body-warmer or jacket please?. Preferably under £30.
Thank you in anticipation.

Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.

Would you not be better with something that has good natural filling like a down gillet or jacket? They won’t need charging or whatever you do to those heated jackets,1

After I posted I thought the same - personally I use the Uniqlo heattech sleeved tops (regular heat, but they do warmer ones) and their down liners.
I've worn the normal heattech thermals when skiing in -20°c and they wash and last really well.
For example

Or the zip up vest / body warmer.

How long does his round take? I suspect youd blow that budget just on a couple of battery packs1

I have one but the gillet cost £35 and the battery pack £30 . Lasts 12 hours .2

I'd suggest layering up - a good quality lightweight merino (or similar) base layer, then a top, then a coat - easy enough to layer down if he gets too hot.1

OP, does that mean that your husband is the only postie not to wear shorts all year round?
