Mortgage valuations

We have a mortgage currently - recently switched deal and desktop valuation was used.
Currently have application to borrow more (with same lender) to pay off help to buy loan. The chap i spoke to who submitted the application said they sometimes use desktop valuations, sometimes use drive by and sometimes full valuation. Clearly noone knows for sure but whats the likelihood they were happy for the desktop to switch deal and would want to do a full valuation just a month later for this.

You'll need to obtain a full independent valuation to discharge the HTB loan in any event.0
