This is a shared prize across 5 Hits Radio Stations: (Hits Radio UK, HIts Radio Manchester, Hits Radio Suffolk, Hits Radio North Yorkshire, Hits Radio South Coast).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “KISS – Tesco Little Helps Day [PRE-REGISTRATION].” These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

  

1. COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN

Pre-registration for the on-air competition will start at 00.01 on Wednesday 10th February 2020 until 12.00 on Tuesday 16th February 2020. Once the competition closes, a short list of up to 20 entrants will be pulled by  electronic random draw from all those who successfully completed the respective entry form with;

• their local Hits Radio station
• their personal details
• the name of the person they are nominating
• a valid reason demonstrating what the nominated person has done for the local community.

If, for any reason a shortlisted entry has not given a valid reason demonstrating what the nominated person has done for the local community, their entry will be disqualified.

From the short-listed entries, one winning story per show (4 winners in total) will be chosen by production teams based on who they feel the most deserving people are from the stories given.

Due to GDPR we are unable to review personal data from anyone other than the nominator of this competition. This means the nominator will be deemed ‘the winner’ and sent ‘the prize’ and it will be their duty to pass this onto the person they have nominated.

3. DATES 

Start Date and End Date. From 00:01 Wednesday 10th February 2021 (the “Start Time) to 23:59 Tuesday 16th  February 2021(“End Time”).

Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.

Winner Announcement. The winning person’s first name and hometown will be available upon request when the competition ends by emailing Win@bauermedia.co.uk.

However if the winner cannot be contacted within 21 days from the date of the initial attempt to contact them, then we will re-draw until we draw a winner that we are satisfied (in our sole discretion) fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

 

 

 4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS 

• Open to UK residents aged 18 or over.
• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, incl. the Prize Provider, must not enter.
• Anyone who has won a Bauer competition to the value of £500 or more within the past 6 months on any Bauer Radio Brand, they or anyone living at the winning address will not be eligible to win this competition. If by any chance they get through to the phone lines – any prize they have been successful with will not be awarded.
• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.

5.  THE PRIZE 

This is a shared prize across 5 HITS RADIO Stations (Hits Radio UK, HIts Radio Manchester, Hits Radio Suffolk, Hits Radio North Yorkshire, Hits Radio South Coast). 

There will be 20 winniners in total and each Radio station will have 4 winners  (one winner per show).

Each winner will win 1 x  £650 voucher to spend at Tesco. 

 

The Prize listed above is provided by Element (the “Prize Provider”).

Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.

Prizes should be delivered within 28 days from the point the winner has confirmed their details. However, due to Coronavirus measures, delivery times may exceed the 28 days delivery period as stated in our General Terms and Conditions. We will endeavour to post prizes to winners as quickly as possible. Prizes may be delivered separately.

OTHER CONDITIONS
DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and/or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to the prize provider to arrange delivery of the prize. Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. 1. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you’ve submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize (if you win!). We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

1. MISCELLANEOUS.

• Entries that don’t comply with these terms will not be accepted and you may be disqualified if we think you have breached them.
• One entry per person
• If there is a dispute about the operation of the Competition or correctness of any answers given, our decision is final and no discussion will be entered into on this subject.
• The correct answers to questions must exactly match our answers to win.
• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.
• You are responsible for all costs of entry.
• You may be disqualified if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners.
• Whilst on-air, you must not make inappropriate or offensive statements.
• As far as it is lawful to do so, we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition / the Prize.
• We may cancel / amend / end / suspend the Competition if we need to do so due to circumstances outside our control.
