I can appreciate your situation as I myself live in an area full of violence and harrassment (my parents fled the area 2 years ago, but my disabled father suffers severe PTSD from being attacked twice in his own garden), but I would recommend a little more sensitivity and caution in words such as "I couldn't live with myself" - while I sincerely doubt you mean this literally, if someone who had missed out on over £100k see such wording, they may find those words push them to an edge no one should be at.Dunder001 said:I couldn't live with myself, if I answered 'hello'. I spend every day by my phone, waiting to speak to Hattie!
I live in a social housing flat, it's very nice, but my neighbours are atrocious....I pray every day to escape them...that's my reason for entering this competition.
Others may disagree, but I just feel a little more sensitivity in that area may be necessary when so many are struggling with bad housing (even no housing) and mental health issues while mental health facilities are frequently below sub par and queues are extremely long, and the MMAW cash being at a life changing sum.
Best wishes, and good luck on a better living situation x5 -
That's the main reason I do not like this type of comp where you MUST say a certain phrase on picking up the phone, since it is almost automatic to say "Hello". To anyone of even medium sensitivity, losing out on even a modest few thousand pounds through an inadvertent few seconds of loss of concentration can be appalling and affect them for long afterwards. It was at least a bit better when, for a period at least, the radio comp gave a runner-up prize of £1000 if the person called did not answer with the correct phrase (if anyone remembers that).MJB992 said:
