Cashed my endowment in a few months ago, can I claim back for it being miss sold, I took it out when I was 25, I cashed it in I wasn't told it' was a whole if life policy.i have been approached by a company who says that they can get back compensation for me, bit they charge 43 per cent forward the privilege. Where can I find a template letter to do it myself. That is assuming that I can even claim.
Many thanks John Quayle

There are no template letters for mis selling because only you know why you were mis sold.
But you'll have been time barred years ago.0 -
How can you claim for mis selling of an endowment if you didn't actually have an endowment ? Or are you saying that you wanted an endowment but were sold a whole life policy ? The proposal form that you signed would have specified the type of policy you wanted. The documentation you were sent would also specify the type of policy.

When you cashed it in the onus would have been on you to know what you were cashing in. Is your complaint that it was a cheap life policy you've now lost ?
Are you sure misselling would be the reason ? Is your regret that you didn't know what you had before you sold it ?
AFAIK the companies that try to get compo for misselling are looking at (generally spurious) grounds that you bought the wrong thing, not that you very recently mistakenly sold something you should have kept.If that's your complaint, which isn't clear.0 -

You cannot complain about having a missold endowment policy if you dont have an endowment policy.
Where can I find a template letter to do it myself.Do you think it is likely that there would be a template letter that mirrors your issue?
Why do you think the whole of life assurance was missold?
