Money Moral Dilemma: Should I claim working-from-home tax relief?

This is to support those who working from home are spending more because of it. If in fact if we are saving, which is my case. Commuting, lunch out, even the temptation of shopping from high street shops, then WE ARE NOT ENTITLED. It's no a brainer.
The amount is £1.20 to £6 a week. It's not life changing. Whereas if 1million people who are not entitled claim is up £6million tax payers money that could be used where really is needed, such NHS, people in furlough who can't work at all and are worried the scheme may end soon.
When this be over we ALL have to pay it back with spending cuts, jobs lost, which is already happening, frozen salary for civil servants etc ..
This is no Boris money it's our money and our duty to use it properly. Money doesn't grow in threes and the national borrowing is the highest EVER.

I find it more than mildly ironic that it's those with the socialist ideals that are suggesting don't claim and leave it to a very unsocialist government to use the money more wisely. Perhaps if Corbyn had won the election.... but....

So for the final time I'll say - claim and donate to something worthwhile.Anyway, this thread started out as nonsense and remains nonsense. I'm out.1 -
@HannahNp you ARE entitled - whether you choose to act on that is entirely up to you
I also am entitled to claim it - for my reasons which are not dis-similar to yours I choose not to
Like lots of things in life that I am entitled to do, some I choose not to act upon. It's neither right or wrong

The state is a hugely expensive, inefficient and unreliable middleman. If you want to help your community donate to charities, help struggling restaurants and shops. Don't give it to the state to waste.0

I’ve claimed online only took a few minutes. No hesitation - I have worked all my working life now 69, only have a basic pension plus a small private one, concerned how I will manage when I finally retire. So no guilt whatsoever!1
