FTB/HTB mortgage declined

We applied to Halifax and it passed AIP and Full Application. There was a NOC on my file, which I didn't know about, then they declined our application for the adverse plus it wasn't in the banks appetite. I got the NOC removed as it was incorrect information. We then applied to NatWest and its been declined :(

My husband has a satisfied CCJ registered back in 2016 and I have 2 defaults (one falls off in April and settled) and another for £243 which I didn't know about - it was paid off in 2019 when I found out about it. I have an arrangement to pay from 2015 for my overdraft which is also settled back in 2020. All adverse is from losing business in 2015.
Feel deflated but any recommendations for going forward and how to build credit rating?

Find a good broker, present all 3 credit files for each of you, complete a fact find and wait to see what the broker says is possible.

What % is the deposit you've got together?

How much are you looking to buy for?
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
  • This was with a Broker. I first used Checkmyfile and the information was the same across all 3 CRAs. Then I checked individually and that's  when I found that information was incorrect and a NOC has been placed on my file.
We have 5% dep although could have more (we have the stamp duty & legal costs which is £18k), using the London HTB and borrow £291000.
