I have just received an email from the Experian ID Service advising that from 24 March 2021 Experian ID will no longer work with government services and therefore my Experian ID account will be closed after this date.

Whilst I have used GOV.UK Verify to access my personal tax account online I prefer the Government Gateway method. In particular I was concerned that Experian appeared to conflate my Experian ID account with my Experian credit reporting account.

I am also concerned with the security of my data with Experian and wonder if the Government has any issues with Experian that may have prompted this parting of the ways.

I wondered if anyone had any thoughts or information on this issue.

Update to include the link below.
