Property has a RX1 charge placed on it with Land Registry

Hi - we bought an investment (buy to let) property through an estate agent. This was on a rent now buy later scheme. We are the landlords. The house was found by the agent and he has put an RX1 legal charge against the property. My question is this...would it require our consent or signature to register this RX1 with land registry ? And can we remove it without his consent ? Thanks Paul

An RX1 is an application form for a restriction. It would usually require your consent unless the ‘charge’ or the scheme itself allows for it. An application to cancel it later would most likely require his consent too 
I’d suggest getting some legal advice to understand both the scheme, what you’ve committed to and the legal impact of the agent’s interest
