Transferring a final salary pension.

    A 31x multiplier sounds a long way off a great deal to me (I turned down an option to transfer a DB pension at 45x after what I'd read on here) but presumably there are reasons why that transfer was suitable for you...

    So you have no dependants, plenty of other savings, short life expectancy...in which case it might have been a reasonable decision, but it'll be years before you find out.
    Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

    There's every likelihood that's going to be a bad decision. I am glad it's not me who will be having the future worries about it.
