Lots and lots of missed payments

My partner and I have just sold our property and due to missed payments he was going to try for a solo mortgage
Having previously had a small mortgage for quite a long time i wasn't really aware about late credit payments and what it could mean.
I've had 2 credit cards which I've always paid and never missed because the payment came out automatically. In the past 5 years I took out a very & next store card where you have to pay the payments yourself and have ended up missing A LOT of the payments over these 5 years just due to not remembering rather than not having the funds (stupid I know, I know better now). I've just looked on equifax and seen theres around 30 missed payments since 2017. 14 months since last payment problem and 23 months since last serious payment problem. Never had an issue with bank or credit cards just these 2 stupid store cards I didn't even really need.
Anyway, will adverse lenders even touch me with this bad history or is my other half better off going for a sole mortgage? He has perfect history its just me. I do not work atm due to childcare but would contribute a big chunk of the deposit which is where me being on the mortgage might uncomplicated things apparently. We have just spoken to a broker who said it would be better to include me on the mortgage so I thought I'd check out my credit score stuff and have discovered all the missed payments. We will obviously discuss this with the broker if we find somewhere to move but just wondering as I've never heard of so many missed payments before.
