Has anyone got this Aldi one?

What's the sound quality like? My local Aldi had 3 left and I'm thinking of getting one.

Yes we have. The sound quality IS amazing however sleeping in the same room as it is akin to sleeping on the flight deck of the Starship Enterprise as it shines a blue light out which is bright even on dim. It also buzzes. So its now in our sitting room!"!!!!

We got one from Aldi last week.
We had the same problem with the bright blue light display (Even posted in the techie board asking how to dim an LED light !).
It now has a couple of quality street wrappers stuck on !!
    Good sound quality though !

to dim the led you would most likely have ot solder in a resistor to the led power feed

I don't have this one but I did have the JBL (Xmas pressie 2006) one but I have since taken back & swapped it for a Bose Soundock.

The light could be dimmed on the JBL one as I remember going through the handbook to find the setting. I'm surprised there isn't a setting in the Aldi one as it seems to have everything else.

Good to hear the Aldi docking station has good quality sound I'm glad I posted it now as it seem most people are satisfied with purchasing it. It's a pity about the LED though. Would it help any if you turned the docking station towards the wall to stop the brightness of the light? I suppose it's no good to suggest turning it off as I guess it needs to be on to recharge your iPod.

And after saying that is it value for money?
