Payments into Pension

Just want to check before I go and make the payment

My wife had made a total of £23k employers payments to her pension ( direct from her salary) and made personal payments of £10.5k, her P60 for this year will be around £13k so am I right in saying that she can still make a personal payment of £2k to her pension and gain a further £500 from tax relief?

Thanks

No . The max she can add is £13K gross . So £10,400 Net , and the provider will add basic rate relief of £2600 . So she already paid £100 too much ,

Pensions should always be treated as gross payments when looking at income/tax.   So £10,500 gross allows a further £2500 contribution to be made.
