Self made outbuilding affect valuation

How likely would a small self made outbuilding, falling within permitted development and not needing building regs. affect future house valuations? I am currently on help to buy and don’t want to unnecessarily increase my house valuation pending remortgaging in 3 years.

I doubt it will make a difference to a valuation.

Many thanks. There is a lot of talk about outbuildings increasing value, however seems to be from those building them, for some reason 🤔

I guess it depends how small and how poorly it is built :)
If you've assembled a garden shed to keep the lawn-mower in then no...
If you've build yourself a home office with power/light etc. then possibly yes...
