Notice of Correction slow down mortgage application?

Hi
We submitted a mortgage application on 22/01/21, however, we had to re submit yesterday as our AIP had our old address on. Our tenancy ran out in January so me and my partner have moved into each of our parents house just whilst we are buying a house but the AIP was received before this. Now our broker has put in our application with both our current addresses on. The first thing I did when I moved back was change my addresses on everything, bank statements, with work, car and registered on the electoral roll at this address. I received a letter from my local authority saying that the registration would take effect from 1st March 2021. However, the lender we have gone with uses Experian and when I look at my Experian report, all my addresses are up to date but it says I'm not registered on the Electoral roll. However, I was at my old address so I should be registered there until this one comes through. I have asked Experian if this can be updated and they have come back and said I can put a notice of correction on my report to explain the situation but they have also said the following:

"Of course, this also means that you won’t be able to get credit instantly as lending decisions will take a little longer."
I have also provided my MA with my final water bill which is addressed to my current address in case this was needed.
My question is will the notice of correction slow things down and also will the water bill be enough for the lender if it looks like I'm not on the Electoral roll? They did a hard search on 29th Jan on the initial application which is where the issue with the AIP address flagged but haven't mentioned anything about electoral roll issues - would they have mentioned this if it was an issue already?

Would really appreciate any advice

Don't put an NoC on. It won't provide any benefit but will slow things down.

@Deleted_User thank you - will a utility bill at this address be sufficient enough do you think?

Even one of mine said I wasn’t on Electoral Roll can’t remember which it was but every other credit reference agency did so check them all.

The problem is your electoral roll info is used to verify your name and your address. If you are not at registered yet at your current address (the one you're using to apply for credit) then it's not of much use.

I second the issue with the NOC. I got my electoral roll info corrected on Equifax by supplying a letter from the council. Despite accepting the letter they added an NOC, said it wouldn't be an issue. Two high street lenders said it would be a problem and they would need to review and sign off on the NOC before approving my application which would make the process longer. I went back to Equifax, told them two lenders said the NOC would be problematic, and eventually they removed it (not without reversing the correction before I told them to fix it again this time without the NOC).

thanks for everyone’s advice :) we really need the mortgage sorting as soon as possible so I really don’t want to delay anything. I think I’ll leave the correction for now and see if they come back with anything when they process the application. Like I said I have a utility bill and proof from my LA about registering if the lender ask.
I have checked my other reports but they haven’t updated my address yet so it does say I’m on the roll but at my old address however the lender only used Experian for the credit check
