Cheque from OR...?

Afternoon,
I've received a random cheque from the Insolvency service for a couple of hundred pounds..
No letter, no description of what it's for, the only other thing apart from my details on there is "Remittance Advice"
Can anyone explain what this could be for? I don't want to phone up and find it's been issued in error..🤣
I'm a few weeks away from my discharge date and currently in a IPA.
Thanks..

Sounds like you may have overpaid.
I'd bank it0 -
It could well HAVE been a mistake but why not phone them to find out? If it's been issued in error then you'll have to return it. You're obviously dying to find out what it's all about so just phone and ask, get it over with. Best to be honest, eh?Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. Not helpful that there was no explanation. Are there any assets they have claimed? Probably something to do with that.0
