Adding spouse to a Buy To Let mortgage

Hi, morning.
I’ve a question regarding a residential buy to let property where I’m looking to add my wife as a joint owner to support with tax planning.
From the research I’ve done over the weekend I’m of the understanding that certain actions need to be taken with the mortgage provider, deed updates and form 17 with HMRC.
Is anybody familiar with the process for this and whether there are anything else I need to consider adding her to the mortgage?
Many Thanks, Tony

Limited to the mortgage side of things - most lenders will have a process for transfer-of-equity and adding a new name to the mortgage. It's usually fairly straightforward though the specific mechanics and eligibility may differ from lender to lender.
As an example, see here for BM Solution's process https://www.bmsolutions.co.uk/transfer-of-equity/I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
