Apple keep taking payments / renewing cancelled subscriptions

So, it's the end of the month and I've reviewed my 'online purchases' account to find that yet again Apple have taken just under £100 over the past month in <£20 purchases.
This seems to be a quarterly occurence... subscriptions that were cancelled suddenly get renewed
Yet again, I am forced to cancel my debit card on this account.
Does anyone have any advice on how to stop this happening (short of destroying any and all apple devices and accounts) ?

How are you cancelling them?  It sounds like you're not doing it properly.  I can't say I've ever had a problem cancelling something and having it stay that way.

Have you spoken to support?  I've found them to be very good when I've dealt with them in the past.

Remove all card/ account details from Apple would prevent future debits, once you have cancelled the sub then remove any details.

Whats the subscription for ?

I take it no children who are reactivating the subscription by using the app ?
