Hi looking for some advice
I’ve looked online and it’s very sketchy even the HMRC don’t really break it down
my husbands child that we pay support from is 19 and is in full time employment but also still at college I till may June
I can see that it says child support stops when they are 20 does that mean when he is 20 on 5th April we are legally entitled to stop paying ? He doesn’t live at home at the moment as he don’t get along with his mum so he’s at his nanas but his mum says we have to lay till August and we thinks it’s his 20th birthday
I’ve struggled to find any solid evidence on HMRC

You would stop paying when he reaches his 20th birthday, which is the same time child benefit ends, even if he remains in full time non advanced education. https://www.gov.uk/child-benefit/eligibilityAlthough if he's no longer living at home then his parents should no longer be claiming child benefit for him.
