Barclaycard CCA

Hi guys, I sent a CCA to Barclaycard back in May 2018 regarding a £4000 debt. They replied saying they were unable to fulfil my request and the agreement would remain unenforceable until they were able to fulfil the request.
2 weeks ago they sent me a letter saying they had passed the debt to Link to deal with. A week ago Link phoned me and I said I needed to find the paperwork because I couldn't remember at that time that it was a CCA I had requested. Link are going to call me again and I'm unsure what to say to them.
Should I tell them when they phone that Barclaycard said it was unenforceable or should I ask them to send me details of the debt and then send link another CCA?
Thanks in advance for any advice

Send a CCA request to Link. Don’t talk to them over the phone. Let them chase Barclays. It’s possible Barclays could find it at some point. But it’s up to them to ask them if so.1

There`s no need to send another request, once is sufficient, I really hope you still have the letter from Barclaycard you refer to above, do you ?
If you don`t have the letter, then a second request will be necessary.
Stay off the phone, its never wise to speak to these people, you should do everything in writing only.
Send a copy of the BC letter to Link, and state your intentions to them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks for the replies guys, I do have the letter from Barclaycard, it took me a week to find it, I must improve my filing system.
Link have not yet written to me regarding this, only phoned, but I will send them a copy of the Barclaycard letter. I suppose my intentions would be not to proceed further until my CCA request has been fulfilled.
are there any template letters that I could use to get a feel of what my letter should contain
cheers0 -

On (insert date) I made a request under section 77/79 consumer credit act 1978 to Barclaycard for the above account.
Barclaycard have informed me they cannot comply with this request, as they do not hold compliant paperwork for it (copy of letter enclosed).
This, as you will be aware, renders the account unenforceable in court.
Until my request can be complied with, I am choosing to prioritise my other enforceable debts over this one, so I will not be paying this account.
May I suggest you refer this matter back to Barclaycard.
Yours sincerely

Best to stay off the phone, block the number/ignore its up to you.
Anything to do with money and debt should be dealt with in writing only, and never over the phone, you can be coerced to agree to things you wouldn`t normally agree to, for them the phone is the most productive way they make money, so best to deny them that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
