2nd loan application

I recently applied for and was approved for a personal AA loan for £15000 for the purchase of a car. However I was not offered the 2.5
% apr and they offered me 8 ish %. I did not want this so I cancelled my application with them on the phone. But, I now want to borrow £10000 instead to by a cheaper car than previous. My question is: How long do I need to wait until I can apply for another loan without being discounted and affecting my credit rating? I am a homeowner and earn more than enough to repay the monthly payments. As I didn’t actually take out the AA loan then surely this would be recognised that I don’t have this additional debt? It has been around 1 month since I initially applied. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Check your credit files, there is probably a hard search from the AA due to the loan application. You could probably do one more application but if that fails you should pause for now. Your credit rating is a mythical number that only you can see.0
