Company car/maternity leave questions

  • I really just needed advice on the company car issue. The rest of it is a non-issue at the moment. They are perfectly happy with me not returning full time, that’s not the question I’m asking here.

what I needed to know is if I’m still entitled to the car up until I return to work. And from what I’ve read, a change in hours is a change to my contract and they can then remove the company car benefit. That’s all I needed to know, so thanks everyone.

It seems that entitlement to the car will cease when the contract changes.  On that basis it's presumably in the best interest of the OP to delay final agreement to the new role as long as possible to avoid the risk of losing the car whilst on maternity leave.
