Furlough after maternity- vulnerable

Hello. I’m a supply teacher and have contacted my agency to return to work beginning in March. I’m on the extremely clinically vulnerable shielding list and obviously schools are currently closed. I’ve contacted the agency to advise id like to return and if I could be furloughed from March 1st and provided my shielding letter. They have advised they cannot furlough me unless I have another shielding letter for March (this one only goes up until 21/2). Even if I get my vaccine I’m still concerned about returning before I’ve had both doses which means earliest return being May if I’m vaccinated in the next week! I can’t afford to be on maternity any longer. Please help. Thanks Helen

Do you have reason to think that you won't receive another shielding letter after your current one runs out?0

You can request a note/letter - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/people-at-higher-risk/shielding-note/ Would you be able to ask the agency of they can use the existing letter now on the basis that you will request a further one in February if you don't get one automatically?
It looks as though these last three weeks so presumably you would not want to apply until a few days before the current letter expires
If they haven't already, I'd also ask the agency to confirm in writing what they need from youAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0 -
Duplicate - OP, please keep it to one thread otherwise it gets confusing for people trying to help and advise
