DB to DC Partial Transfer

Hi,
a DB scheme of which I am a deferred member allows partial transfers to DC schemes.
If I were to transfer less than the £30k threshold would I be required to take advise from an advisor who specialises in this or would it be the same as transferring a pension with a CETV of under £30k?

You would be required to take advice where your total transfer is £30,000+, even if you only plan to transfer part of it.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

So I can avoid the need for advise by transferring under £30k?

No, because your total CETV is over £30K.
