Do you have bills to hand, showing actual usage in Kw?
Do you read your meter & keep records?

Unfortunately being all electric will always be expensive.  The worst possible arrangements are those that use daytime electricity such as panel radiators, instantaneous electric showers and immersion heaters that aren't used overnight on an Economy 7 tariff.
What do you use for heating, do you have E7 and what are the kWh rates and daily charge including VAT?

I assume you have an immersion heater/hot water cylinder, is it switched on all the time?

4 children, so lots of washing/tumble dryer/electric showers?

Do you submit readings every month?  Are you on a E7 tariff?

Please post photo of bill with personal details marked out.

    20,000 kWh is about £3,000  a year.
Your bills will always be high in the winter.   Were you there in the summer ?  What were the actual bills then ?
Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill
