HI Guys
Trying to Remortgage with West Brom , I opted for Free Legals , The solicitor is taking long and needs a DOV.
In meantime I got another offer from Natwest due to the delay, My query is If I take offer from Natwest , Do I have to pay legal fees to West Brom Solicitor?

We are currently remortgaging with the Halifax and their free legals team is Optima. The paperwork we have been sent from Optima does include costs for abortive works if we decide not to go ahead with the remortgage.0 -
I am due to remortgage shortly also, but was strongly advised to use my own solicitor to manage the whole process (as I am leaving my current lender). I’ve done some research and have concluded that free legal coverage from lenders are generally quite slow, especially when time isn’t on your side. I’ve to pay for the Services, but it’s well worth it as it speeds up the process, especially since there’s a huge backlog at the moment due to the stamp duty expiry!
