    Banks probably have a right to be wary if you don’t feel you can pause gambling for three months. Plus three months actually isn’t three months because you then have to go through the motions of buying. 
    This is why I suggested going with a broker with experience of professional gamblers.
    Asking the OP to stop is more like asking someone to stop working for 3 months with the resultant loss of income rather than a test for gambling addiction...
