Hotel in Berlin won't refund! Help

I booked a hotel to stay in Berlin direct through hotel website. The booking conditions were 'pay for room on arrival', however a few days later I noticed the hotel had taken the payment for the room on my credit card. I didn't mind this initially, however, now I have cancelled the room and in fighting tooth and nail for a refund, it's been almost a month and no sign of a refund yet. Also the room was a refundable room up until 48hrs prior to stay. Please does anybody know how I can get my money back??? Many thanks in advance.

How did you pay?
Without dates it is difficult to say - a debit card - ask for a chargeback - enclose the terms that you signed up for to back up your story.
If you paid by credit card and it was more than £100 then a S.75 claim for breach of contract might be the way forward.0 -
Did you cancel the room with the 48 hours notice or were you simply a no show?
It sounds like you just didnt bother turning up in which case the hotel are correct in charging you because you didnt cancel the booking.0
