What split for fridge/freezer should a single person go for ?
I think 50/50 would be too small on the fridge side so Im thinking a 60/40 split would be better.
How does one decide what split ?
Any other posters out there who hbe been in a similar situation.

Thanks

What do you have where you currently live and what do you keep in the fridge / freezer?

Although there's two of us, I went for full size freezer and under counter fridge; had I got my way it would have been a table top fridge stuck on top of the full size freezer as there's barely anything in the fridge aside from milk, butter, cheese and the next day meat.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

Currently its an undercounter fridge and separate freezer.
I think its a toss up between 60/40 and 70/30. Id be cooking food in batches and freezing in portions, id normally visit a retailer to see what my options are, hopefully I will be able to go once lockdown ends.
Kitchen is big enough for just a fridge freezer rather than separates.

Depending on the size, I'd go for 60:40.
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!

I have 50/50 integrated fridge with 2 person.
Our freezer usually full, but not the fridge section.

I would always go for as big a freezer as possible . As a single person its always going to be better/cheaper to batch cook and freeze leftovers . I also do a lot of "yellow sticker" shopping so its good to have space if you come across a glut of freezable bargains

I stacked a fridge on the top of a freezer by placing a rigid sheet of material between them, I used a vinyl topped table top cut to the size of the units.  At least if one goes wrong, you still can use the other and they are easier to manoeuvre, don’t know about the relative cost though.
