Rum butter, brandy butter, custard (made with cream not milk) and if I'm feeling really naughty, a dollop of really good vanilla ice cream too.


I'm the only one in the house who likes christmas pudding, so I get to have it however I want, as often as I want, and without any arguing over who gets the last piece, lol.


Is my family the only one to fry slices of leftover pudding (in butter)? I've yet to come across anyone else who does, but it is very nice (if extremely bad for you)

we have a trifle normally as neither me or my son like christmas pud...could be something to do with a memory of my sister eating a sixpence many many years ago...but this year I am going to go with the baileys cheesecake....naughty but nice...:Dand we are not having the traditional turkey either it's christmas ham this year with a glaze...:D

This thread reminds me of the Christmas episode of Bottom, where they didnt have Brandy Butter so they made Vodka Margerine! I think I'll stick to Brandy Butter an squirty cream.

Whatever happened to the plain white dessert sauce that Ambrosia used to do in tins? Think Asda used to do it too... I think they've stopped making it, but I used to love that.

I don't like the stuff with rum and brandy in! :eek:

I don't like the alcoholic-flavoured stuff either. It'll be extra thick double cream for me
