In the same way that it's possible a meteorite might obliterate the property you're buying, yes. In reality, it's not going to happen.

I didn't think about this.  Is it possible to get insurance against meteorites??

If exchange and completion is 24/48 hours apart and lender allows funds to sit in solicitors account during period, then yes. Otherwise no

As we are buying a new build we still need the final building certificates and a final valuation before the title deeds can be sent to the lender. As such we are looking to exchange and complete on the same day w/c 8th Feb. What will be the process between now and then in terms of solicitors contact and conversations with the lender and any potential final checks?
