Worried about Halifax mortgage application (husband only)

I’m a student nurse so my husband is applying for a mortgage on his own. Were going through a broker and he has suggested Halifax (we bank with them).
I’m just worried he won’t be accepted, we have a joint bank account and he has a car and a loan amounting to around £550 a month. Plus the forces help to buy for our deposit is included at £100 PM (£650 total commitments pm). £30748 annual wage and he’s looking for £31750 mortgage (shared ownership). Rent on S/O is £320 pm.
Is anyone applying via Halifax or has anyone been in a similar situation and got an offer? So worried as it’s our only hope!!

Do you have reason not to believe the broker? If so, find another one...2

Numbers seem to be a bit tight when going through the calculator but then no one on here has access to all your financial details and has done a fact find. I dont know many brokers that are in the business of wasting their time for fun so I guess the numbers add up when they are put there.
Are you financially dependent on your husband?1 -
@newhome2021 With the outgoings as listed it looks a bit tight but I'd assume your broker has crunched the numbers and found it to be within affordability. Is there any particular reason you're worried?
There's not much incentive for the broker to put in an application which fails the affordability calcs.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thanks all. I think I’m just worried cause we are really hoping for it to work out. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. I completely trust our broker but I know things can happen. Thank you!0
