I'm having my house valued tomorrow which I'm getting really nervous about. There is no mortgage but I am borrowing 30 from nationwide to buy the freehold.
What can I expect from the valuation? Is there anything in particular they will want to look at or have access to? Like the gas abd electric meter? Just trying to get things ready so he isn't here longer than needed

They might want access to the loft. Aside from that, they will probably just walk around and take measurements and readings.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We had our house valued earlier this week for our remortgage with the Halifax.
The chap was here for 10 minutes tops. He had a wander around the house, measured the rooms, took a few photos and that was about it. He poked his head in the garage and had a look at the garden. He didn't look at the meters and neither did he look in the loft.0
