Has anyone any contact details to enable the recovery of house deeds from Santander aka (Abbey National) as at present i have reached dead end in pursuit of any assistance from the organisation as the phone line disengages after holding on a consistent basis.

Have you tried live chat, writing a letter or email?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Thankyou & yes i did use the Chat who gave me the original Santander Tel No which sadly didnt enable me to achieve my aim. Subsequently, I have discovered there is an Abbey National Phone No which has worked and this office enabled me to secure the return of our house deeds. I have also discovered that the Land Registry Office will also have an electronic version that you can request, how you do this i have not pursued as i was successful via Abbey National1

I am in a similar position to you.
Long shot but you don’t still have the number for abbey national do you? I’m not having much luck with the live chat feature.

I have joined the people searching for Santander (formerly Abbey National) Deedsafe.
There is no issue for deeds which were registered with land registry as copies can be requested from then. However if the house owner has not moved/sold/bought since the early 80s, then they may not have registered the deeds and the nightmare continues.
After much hunting, many attempts and a series of hours being on hold …
I finally got through to a human being who wondered why I thought it was odd that my mother had no correspondence for a decade, and would not be able to find a relevant phone number.
but … here is the magic phone number, and the address to write to as it currently stands in October 2022!!Tel number - 08000851428Address to write to request Deeds:SantanderMortgage and loan operationsSunderlandSR43 4FH
Good luck!0
