Balance Transfer Before First Mortgage Application

Hi all, I have a balance of £3,000 on a Virgin Credit Card. The "0% interest on balance transfers for X months" offer I opted for when getting the card, is due to expire in March 2021 however, I'm looking to apply for a mortgage circa April 2021. Would it be damaging to our mortgage application to apply for a balance transfer shortly before applying for a mortgage? I don't wish to pay interest on the balance for obvious reasons, and I also don't wish to pay the balance right now as we're trying to penny-pinch as much as possible in readiness for our first home! Any advice would be most appreciated, thank you in advance.
