Hiring out car to boost income

Hi,
I have a 2002 convertible Porsche Boxster that I'm considering renting out to people holidaying in the North Wales / Chester area. I understand that to do so, I would need to obtain approval from my insurance company and that the premium would increase. Just wondering if anyone else has gone down this route and if they could offer any tips? Many thanks:-)

  • Just confirm, I'm obviously not planning to do this anytime soon. It would be once the lockdown restrictions are over:-)
  • Don't bother it will cost you money and give you more stress than its worth

How reliable is your near 20 yr old Porsche and how attached are you to the car?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    Not a good idea!
    Better idea. Sell the car.
