Hiring out car to boost income

Hi,
I have a 2002 convertible Porsche Boxster that I'm considering renting out to people holidaying in the North Wales / Chester area. I understand that to do so, I would need to obtain approval from my insurance company and that the premium would increase. Just wondering if anyone else has gone down this route and if they could offer any tips? Many thanks:-)

Not a good idea!
Better idea. Sell the car.The world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon0
