Am I being too impatient with broker....

Options
Hey,
Long story short we have applied for 2 mortgages at 90% and after 11 weeks the latest one was rejected. Very frustrating.

We have re done our finances and decided that an 85% is do-able. I informed our mortgage broker 5 days ago of this and still have not had any further information back.
The one thing that he replied (which was 5 days ago) is that he would ask the company that rejected us if they would consider 85% as this would be quicker.

I have emailed the broker since asking for updates etc and have had no reply. Am I being too impatient? I really want to trust that there are no updates and hence no contact but my past experience is telling me to keep chasing.

Thanks

Offices closed, call centres closed and staff working from home.   2 of those 5 days are non-working days. Everything is going slower than normal at the moment.

  • Yea I understand that everything will be slower due to WFH etc. I am just concerned that we are going to lose the house and having already been in an application for 11 weeks for it to be rejected with no real reason has made me really worried.

Mortgage brokers are run off their fee at the minute, I normally spend the end of december/beginning of Jan preparing for the year ahead and I have not half of what I would normally do.

That being said, 3 days to say news/no news seems a little slow.
