Hi,
i have found a shared ownership property that i want to buy part of, have the affordability but i have had previous bad credit. I had a ccj that due to come off this year which was for a previous catalog bill and also two defaults for telecomes there were three years ago, all paid off and satisfied.
i am having problems getting a mortgage as two advisors have told me due to my bad credit, does anyone have any advice? I have gone to a bad credit broker who thinks he wikk be able to get me one but with very high fees of £1995.
thanks in advance

Hi, I had a default on my credit file and a bad credit score I was told by one mortgage broker it would be impossible for me to get a mortgage I was determined so I approached another! He got me a mortgage within a month with Coventry building society and the lender paid the broker we didn’t have to pay him ourselves! I think if they are settled and were long enough ago (from what I’ve seen) you have a better chance1

We have just secured a mortgage with the Halifax and I have a settled CCJ from 2015. We have no other adverse though.
Find a broker with experience of adverse applications. There are a couple on here.0 -
The score is only seen by you, your history is whats important.TanJ23 said:Hi, I had a default on my credit file and a bad credit score history I was told by one mortgage broker it would be impossible for me to get a mortgage I was determined so I approached another!
