Quick Question on mental health diagnosed conditions

Hi all,
I have mentioned previously but a friend of mine went through a bad time following an attack
She has subsequently been diagnosed with PTSD and Dissociation and in the period of recovery, she is due to write to her creditors to set up payment plans for debts she owes.
My question is does she need to supply written confirmation from the doctors in this or does she just need to mention it in her letters to them?

This is a previous post on here regarding the same sort of issue albeit a different condition.

I would imagine the request being made is relevant as to whether she needs to disclose it or not. If she is asking for special conditions or for any to be written off due to the PTSD she may want to prove it. She may be genuine but I imagine many people try to get out of paying by claiming some form of illness. It may also ensure they are a little more sympathetic when dealing with her if they know she is telling the truth.
As your post implies that she is just going to pay the debt off it could be up to her whether or not to tell them. She can always do this at a later date if things get stressful for her.
