I have been reading the section on the website and thought that it was worth my mum getting in touch to ask the question. Her situation is that she is divorced and did not remarry and Martin had this as one of the categories that her state pension might have been underpaid.
Can anyone advise all the information that you should have at hand to ensure that when you do get through you are organised. thanks

If your mother is already in receipt of her state pension, she will have received her statement of increase of benefit in around March of this year.
This will show her current pension/NI number and details of whom and how to contact if she has a query - she should also look up the exact date of divorce and details of her ex husband's name date of birth and NI number if she happens to know it.1 -
i found that my mum is receiving a state pension based on my dads NI contributions over the years so everything appears to be as it should.1
