Santander - Mortgage Rate drops while application is being processed. Can I obtain the new rate?

Hi,
I’m in the process of moving my mortgage, and I’ve just noticed that the rate and product fee associated with the Santander one I’m looking at has dropped.
I appreciate they honour the rate you select when you apply, should it go up - but they may not allow me do anything if it goes down?
Does anyone know if Santander allow you to change mid-application (I’m just at the legal stage now, and filling in the forms)
