Moving to parents old house after mortgage application

Hi
My partner and I have just recently applied for a mortgage and have an offer subject to valuation. We won’t be moving in until June the earliest as it’s a new build.
my mum is moving to another country and so is renting out her house, my partner and I are hoping to move into here as we currently live with his family and it’s a very busy house. We will just be paying my mum rent and the bills she covers as she doesn’t want to make any money from us. We are moving in so we have our own space. The only problem I’m thinking of is when we apply for council tax is this going to affect our mortgage application? From the expenses we pay out at the moment our bills will only be £90 each more per month when we move into my parent house once they have moved away. Do I have to declare this? We are just wanting to do it so we have space.
we would be doing this from February until our house is built and this is a decision we have made over the last couple of weeks
thanks

Can’t see it being a problem it would only be same as if you was renting as you’d have to pay the council tax there. Don’t forget to also move your electoral roll as well.0

thank you. Would I need to declare this to my mortgage advisor? We should have the offer through in approx 2 weeks.0 -
Is there anyone who could give more advice on this please?0

Yes I would let your mortgage advisor know of your change of address and the change to your outgoings. When we applied with nationwide we were asked what the council tax would be on the property we were intending to buy so you paying council tax now in the interim wouldn’t effect it I would have thought.0
