No notification and no letter though there is an email address you can use to get proof of discharge but it escapes me atm, I'm sure someone will know. If you watch your entry at midnight on the night before/on your discharge you will see it change and can print off copies of the notification. Your discharge will show on the IS site for 3 months after discharge and then disappear but will be on the London Gazette all time. It willl drop off your credit file 6 years from the date of your bankruptcy.
Will it drop off six years after if you are discharged or not?

If you are discharged then yes it will. If your discharge is suspended then no it won't, as I said in my first reply to you.
Why do you feel you won't be discharged?
Has the OR been in touch with you yet?

I read conflicting info on this

someone said the went bankrupt several years ago and was never discharged but after six years your credit file is discharged

my situation is that I like many am suffering from mental health issues due to the global situation and am in the process of getting medical help but everything is crazy these days

If a bankruptcy has disappeared from someone's credit file whilst still their discharge from bankruptcy has been suspended then this was done in error. If discharge is suspended then you remain bankrupt, and your credit file will show this, otherwise it would be a completely pointless exercise.

You should also bear in mind that the Official Receiver can request that the Court issues a warrant for your arrest.

This is a last case resort. As long as you keep in touch with the OR office and co-operate with them there shouldn't be any unpleasant surprises. I understand you should know well in advance if there are any delays with your discharge.
May you find your sister soon Helli.
