ETF Investing: how to calculate the amount of tax to pay
Hi to all,
in addition to my ISA investment, in 2020 I opened an account with another English bank.
In this bank I bought some ETFs in Euro.
During the year, I sold some ETFs at a loss and some at a profit.
As of December 31st, I still have capital invested in ETFs with profit.
I give an example:
Deposit: 100
Purchased 4 ETFs (ABCD) at 20, invested total 80
During 2020 I sold 2 ETFs (AB), one with a loss of 2 and one with a profit of 4
Reinvested 42 in another ETF (E)
As of December 31st, it is invested value:
ETF C: 25
ETFs D : 18
ETF E: 43
Cash: 20
So I have a realized profit of 2 and an unrealized profit of 4.
An ETF also paid dividends for 1.
Since I am in my first experience as an investor and I do not want to make mistakes, I would like to have the instructions for:
-calculate the taxes to be paid
-know by when I have to pay
-know the tool and how to pay taxes
Thanks in advance

It depends on the nature of the ETF. See
